There's so much to see and plenty of photo opportunities when I journey past many of Lisbon's historic sites and monuments. I'll take a drive north to Sintra's lush wooded heights with the Royal Palace perched on rocky peaks and return via the Estoril Coast where I will admire the stylish summer resorts and quaint fishing towns.

I'll begin this beautiful full-day tour with a visit to the medieval village of Obidos, still completely surrounded by an ancient wall. Continuing onto Alobaca to see the well-preserved 12th Century Church, and Monastery with the tombs of Pedro and Ines. Then I will stop in Nazare, have lunch in a quaint fishing village and enjoy the panoramic view from Sitio. The perfect spot for a photo!
